The Spikeball Combo (or Standard) set is probably the best option if you want to play a fun and engaging outdoor activity with friends and family. The quality of the net is good but not the same quality as what is included in the Pro Set, but is more than usable for a long and engaging game.

The balls included in the standard set are durable and lightweight, they are the same size as the Pro balls but have a different exterior that offers less control.

FAQ

#1: Does the Spikeball Pro have a service line included?

The Spikeball brand has not included a serving line in the Pro set for several years. This is in spite of requests from some users who found this demarcation useful for clean serving.

#2: How much air should be in the Spikeball?

The ball should be slightly soft and, according to technical standards, its circumference should be 30 cm. The pro set comes with a ball gauge (yellow plastic rim) that you can use to test the size of the ball. Be careful not to overinflate the balls, as they may burst or deform!

#3: Are the legs of the spikeball pro set foldable?

The legs are designed to be bent, so don’t worry, you won’t break them.

#4: What is the warranty if parts break?

Official Spikeball kits come with a lifetime warranty; the company will always replace a broken part. Even if you buy your Spikeball set on Amazon.

#5: What is the size of the Spikeball Pro rim ?

The rim is a plastic circle that measures about 30 cm in circumference. The ball should be able to pass easily, but should touch the sides of the rim.

#6: Will the SpikeBuoy accessories fit the Spikeball rookie?

The SpikeBuoy does not fit on the Rookie kit, the kit is too wide. However, the SpikeBuoy fits both the standard and the pro kit!

#7: Is the Rookie Spikeball set suitable for a 5 year old?

We would definitely recommend the Rookie Spikeball kit to a 5 year old. Kids usually start playing the official Combo Kit rules around the age of 10-12. For younger children, we recommend the Rookie kit, which includes a larger ball and net. It’s a great way to learn basic moves, and it’s ideal for young children who are active but may just want to make up their own rules and have fun with it.

#8: Can two people play spikeball?

The official Spikeball rules are for 2 teams of 2, but people play 1 on 1 all the time. You just have to be a little creative with the rules. For example, you can play against each other with three strikes each, or you can work together to stare at each other and see how long you can keep up a rally.

#9: Does the rim come apart once it has been assembled?

Yes, the rim and legs are all removable. You can assemble the set and disassemble it as many times as you like.

#10: For the standard Spikeball kit and the pro kit, is the rim plastic or metal?

The rim of the standard Spikeball kit and the pro kit are made of plastic. The rim of the Spikeball kit Pro is made of a more resistant plastic.
